I have gazed upon city skylines
Cloaked in sparkling glass
And evening shadow. Lantern light
Bathed the cobblestone streets,
Where past and future meet.
I have painted with words
Of all color and kind,
Built worlds upon mere thought
And dreams. Pure horror and beauty
Played in my mind and in those
That came to read. I lost myself
In foreign tongues and wanton gazes,
Danced with the divine as the moon rose
And fell. But never have I felt so perfect
As when you leaned in
To steal a kiss.
